I USB flash drive playback movies on TV, but still says bad codec?
I have an LCD TV with a USB port on the side ... I bought 8 Concert a USB drive from PNY that i downloaded movies on my .. but when I plug in the TV just some of the movies ... the work of others display a message when I try to play it says "video codec not supported" what the hell should I do? How do I encode im kinda dumb with computers
Look at your TV User's Guide. It will tell you what file types can be seen and what codecs can be used within those files. Make sure that files are being used file types. If they are - need to encode the file types. If they are - while you have the correct file type (one container in fact) that you need to check how it was encoded. Or, since you are getting the error that has used the wrong codec, you can simply take for granted and encode the video into one compatible with your TV.
