Buying a refurbished LG LCD HDTV question?

I am currently looking at a 42 "LG LCD HDTV, renovated, on eBay. The TV is in perfect conditions and was a return from a major electronics store (in the 30 days originally purchased). It comes with a 90-day warranty. My question is, has anyone had the luck (good or bad) with the purchase of refurbished TVs? Especially LCD TV, and more importantly, the LG TV? In addition, anyone know what the warranty on this TV would be if I bought new store? Any information or past experiences would be appreciated, Thanks.

They have a 32 "LCD TV on sale at TigerDirect for $ 420. Should be able to get a similar deal later?

I intend upgrade my TV to a 32 "16:9 LCD for Christmas. I saw a Vizio (refurbished) on sale at TigerDirect for $ 420 (ATSC / NTSC HDTV 720p/1080i). It seems that the Most are between 500-600. I've been reading that there will be some price drops due to the severe slowdown in sales of these sets. I really do not want to go up around the holidays, but it could. I just hate the idea of postponing and pay later. Moreover, I would discover that I could have waited til November and picked up a new for a similar price. I have a TV 27 "flat CRT now (2 years) and am in need to get it soon. For me, LCD is the way forward. I PC home theater and also be used for video games that are out of plasma (plasma screen burn issues). I am also the DLP decision. 720p is better for the Windows desktop to 1080i which is what most DLP project - leads to blurred text when interlaced. Besides, I live in an apartment on 2nd floor -- Size / Weight

They are cheap because they are trash. Youd only buy garbage for garbage. Save your money and buy a Sony. Vizio has a lot of problems with their units, and HD HD dosnt even appear! They have terrible HD picture. Same with Samsung.
