How to install your altar Wiccame
So I decided to undertake a journey, and you're trying to figure out what all is required to configure your Wicca supplies. Would you like an altar, but not sure how. There are plenty of "instant altar and tools kits can found on the Internet. We have a little ritual tool kits ourselves, but where to start? What is included? Where to put it? How do I set? With all the possibilities, how to go about choosing what is right for you?
An altar can be as elaborate as a custom carved church issue massive style with ornate ritual tools specifically placed in positions measured. An altar may be a block of wood in a forest, a TV tray in your life room or anything else.
One of the first considerations for your altar space is likely that if it can be shown openly, if you feel that their practices would bring scrutiny Junk in you, you might decide that discretion is the better part of valor, and find a small closet can hide your altar, ritual tools and supplies, and close.
Wiccame altar is placed in a closet with doors that are closed. Not because she wants to keep things "secret", but more than she feels is more respectful of the ritual altar tools and supplies to keep the eyes of those who appreciate more than curious wonder if the dagger is used to kill small animals.
Other possibilities for an altar may only be a periodic table with an altar cloth, a bedside table, a bookshelf, a tree trunk, or just about any other surface you want. It can be as large or as small as you feel comfortable with that try to maintain the supply of Wicca, and you can work with them adequately.
Once you have chosen your altar, then you can decide which ritual tools you want to put in it. Of course, you can choose the tools ritual first, then find an altar to suit everyone, but in any case, you can modify the advice to suit your particular situation. See, that's the fun part to be eclectic .... rare cases, result in the charge that "not doing well."
First comes the altar cloth. Always choose a fabric that is pretty, functional, and not too hard to get out of wax. You know going to be drops of wax from time to time. It's inevitable. That's why I personally do not buy cloths altar very expensive, because I know I'm a witch clumsy. The altar cloth is usually used to protect the altar, and is not "necessary", but may be significant (in terms of its symbolism) or simply functional.
One of the things that I always get the altar is a statue of the Goddess of the Matron I'm working at the time, and, as the ritual that I perform, which may include my patron God. Well, what if we do not have a midwife or a pattern yet? That's perfectly fine. You always can opt out of a statue, or instead include a generic image of the Goddess of snail and / or the God of snail. I put my statues at the top center of the altar, only because I like there.
Then comes the candles. My personal taste is of three candles, one white, one red and one black which means the Goddess as maiden, mother and older stages, respectively. These I put in the center right up in front of the statues, ensuring that they are sufficiently far from the statues dripping wax on them or set them on fire. There's nothing more annoying during ritual that have ignited things when you do not think
My cast-iron boiler with a piece of coal that goes in the center the right side of my altar. I prefer cast iron pots and charcoal for incense stick or cone, but your mileage may vary and can use what suits you best, of course. For more information about the different types of boilers and how to use them, read about the pots. You can also place anywhere, as I am not more with my creation as an example. For more tips on incense, check out our article entitled Wicca Ritual Incense
So we have our fire (candles) and air (incense). Where is our Earth? For the Earth, using a bow that offers title = "offer bowls"> l. And in the container provided, put a little sea salt. So why mean sea salt of the earth instead of water? Well, to me is a bit of both. The salt comes from land and mixes with seawater. You can, of course, put dirt in there, or anything else that signifies the earth for you. I put the center of the Earth to the left of my altar.
And then, all worked good, completely flat, or even cup paper cup. Anything that can hold water can be your cup if you have that meaning for you. As mentioned, the cup has the water element that can be used for their rituals. Whether you add salt to purify it or does not depend on the type of ritual you are doing and your personal preferences. I put the cup in the center part of the center altar, in front of the candles and statues.
That only dagger leaves and / or wand. I like to use both the dagger to cast the circle, "cut" a sacred space beyond time, and the magic wand to Direct. (For more information about choosing the best wood for a wand, see our article on magical forests). I usually taking my dagger in my grade cable around my waist, or center of the altar, in front, in front of the cup. I put the stick at his side.
So, in short, wiccaMe altar is created. If you feel that your correspondence (ie, you should put the Earth in the East, etc.) are not in agreement depending on the position of your altar, that's fine. The important thing is to understand why you are putting the things that are placing them, not just copy someone else. If you do not have a meaning specific to you, the ritual itself is not as significant or powerful.
