How can I fix my RCA projection TV?
R52WH74 I have an RCA projection HDTV. Today I was watching TV and suddenly seems from the three colors of high definition. Everything is displayed in red, blue and green. The top and bottom of the image also curves inward. It's the same in each entry. What can I do?
When the three colors are not aligned, the TV is said to be out of convergence. While there are user controls in the TV to adjust the convergence, it sounds like you have a hardware problem not solved so easily. Definitely try the operation of convergence in TV menus if you have luck, you have nothing to lose by trying. However, failing that, you have a repair job on his hands. RPTVs have a set integrated circuit called Convergence ICs and associated circuitry. Something in your convergence board has blown and needs to be replaced. It could be a chip or other component on the Board. It is a job for a professional to troubleshoot the board and determine what is burning.
