The finer points of choosing the right non-Lethal Self Defense Devices
Like any consumer product on the market, each merchandise belonging to a particular brand and has its own size, configuration and function. This is no different in the world of not being lethal defense hardware. I'm just going to mention 3 categories of these weapons in addition to the folding knife since this specific tool can be applied in a non-lethal.
The Kubotan, or mini-stick of command, comes in different shapes, sizes, colors and perceived roles. Foremost among them is the key Kubotan which measures about 5.5 inches long and 0.75 inches in diameter. Has a ring on one end and an end to the other. In my opinion, the most successful deployment of Tasers are when they are initially concealed from attackers, when surprised and can not defend themselves. Undoubtedly, the obvious choice to carry the C2 for its diminutive size.
Surprisingly, a folding pocket knife can be considered a nonlethal weapon, provided that can be applied with skill in the hands of a martial artist trained in Escrima, Arnis, Kali and Silat Penkjat. Members may be rendered completely useless for cutting, trimming, and click on the nerves, tendons and muscles. Of course, arteries and organs should be avoided. A less bloody and chaotic control of a "thief" would keep the knife folded and used as an impact weapon, like a Kubota. Voyager I carry both a cold corrugated steel sheet with a 5-inch plain edge out of service. Cold Steel is known for manufacturing knives are sharp, durable and reasonably priced. Besides, I think the Voyager series folding knives more lighter and more balanced between the handles and blades in comparison to other folders called Recon 1 model that deals a lot heavier.
